MidTN Multisport has Successful Day at ADPi-athlon

The members of MidTN Multisport, a middle Tennessee triathlon and multisport club based in Rutherford County, enjoyed a successful day at the ADPi-athlon on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Twenty-two members of the club competed in the triathlon, with six members winning awards. Chris Hanson, Nick Schneider, Steve Lovett, Sarah Lovett, and Teresa Steel all placed in their age group. Kellie Arrant was the 3rd overall woman to cross the finish line.

The ADPi-athlon is a sprint triathlon consisting of a 300 meter swim in MTSU’s recreation center pool, an 11 mile bike, and a 2.5 mile run on the campus of MTSU. The triathlon is hosted by the ADPi sorority and benefits the Ronald McDonald House. Although it was a cold and rainy day, this year’s event drew over 350 participants.

This is MidTN Multisport’s first year as an official USAT club. The membership consists of athletes of all skill levels and experience. If you are interested in more information about the club you can visit their website at www.MidTNMultisport.com.
